A Lil Bit of Desperate Housewives Philosophy in 'Desperate' Times

In a world filled with darkness, we all need some kindof light.... whether its a great flame that shows ushow to win back what we've lost. or a powerful beaconintended to scare away potential monsters... or a fewglowing bulbs that reveal to us the hidden truth ofour past.... we all need something to help us getthrough the night.... even if its just the tiniest glimmer of hope.

What happens when all the hope you had once a upon a time is lost?

Everyone in the world needs someone they can dependon.... be they loving friends.... determined advocates..... or a loving family.... but occasionally in life, the people we thought would always be there for us,leave. And if that happens, its amazing thelengths we'll go to, to get them back.

Can you really get someone u've lost, back?

There's a widely read book that tells us everyone is a sinner.... of course not everyone feels guilt over the bad things they do... In contrast there are those who assume more than their share of the blame.... There are others who soothe their consiences with small acts of kindness.... or by telling themselves their sins were justified..... Finally, there are the ones who simply vow to do better next time and pray for forgiveness.... sometimes, their prayers are answered.

I can tell you this much is true..

We are all searching for someone, that special person who will provide us what's missing in our lives..... someone who can offer companionship.... or assistance.... or security..... and sometimes if we search very hard we can find someone who provides us with all three. Yes, we're all searching for someone and if we can't find them, we can only pray that they find us.

Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't..

Trust is a fragile thing, once earned it affords us tremendous freedom but once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover.... Of course, the truth is we never know who we can trust. Those we're closest to can betray us and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves.... It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.

Another,very true thing....

It's impossible to grasp just how powerful love is, it can sustain us through trying times.... or motivate us to make extraordinary sacrifices. It can force decent men to commit the darkest deeds, or compell ordinary women to search for hidden truths.... and long after we're gone love remains, burned into our memories. We all search for love, but some of us, after we've found it, wish we hadn't.

Because the hardest thing is letting go..

I've experienced this kind of bitterness... but I think the one we were created ultimately offers to us a way out. We just have to ask for it.

I don't think we were made to experience this kind of unresolved bitterness, I think He can resolve it.

Well He allows the bitterness, what I meant was I don't think He meant that to be the end of the story. I think the being who made us ultimately loves us and would not let us die alone with this.
